The film “Avatar: The Way of Water” has a chance to pay off – in 12 days from the beginning of the rental, the box office has reached a billion dollars. Analyst Ramesh Bala announced this on social networks.
According to the expert, 300 million dollars were brought to the film by the American distribution, 700 – by the world.
The budget of the film “Avatar: The Way of Water” is not called, but James Cameron himself in his interviews said that the payback limit would be $ 2 billion in box office receipts.
It is worth noting that the first “Avatar” grossed 2.9 billion, making it the highest grossing film in history. However, this tape was released twice.
Charges of the second “Avatar” are discussed quite actively. The film receives mixed reviews. On the one hand, the film has amazing special effects , on the other hand, it is impossible not to notice the difficulties with the plot (we wrote about this in our review – here ). The picture lasts more than three hours, apparently, this is Cameron’s personal position, and the studio, given his authority, completely relied on the director. Whether this bet worked will become clear in the coming weeks.
